Our Mission

The Sean D Biggs Memorial Foundation raises awareness of the causes and prevention of cancer; assists those affected by cancer; and supports cancer research. Consistent with the vision of Sean Biggs, we also fund collegiate scholarships for study abroad and in the fields of alternative energy and energy efficiency.

The Foundation was created by Sean’s friends and family to honor his memory and the positive impact he had on his family, friends, and community. Sean’s passion for running inspired us to design road race events to promote every day ways that people can reduce the risk of getting cancer.

The Sean D Biggs Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and any donations are 100% tax deductible. The Foundation and BIGGSteps events are completely volunteer-run and all net proceeds are donated to organizations aligned with the mission of the Foundation.
